Viewsonic has recently reveals their latest Dual-SIM Smartphone – ViewPhone 3 at CES 2012.

The ViewPhone 3 allows users to separate work and personal calls, providing more freedom and privacy across all networks, including GSM, EDGE and HSDPA. With a 3.5” capacitive touch display.

The ViewPhone 3 is the first ViewSonic phone to arrive in Latin America – a perfect fit for users based on research from Informa, who found that about 27 percent of all mobile subscriptions in the region are classified as multiple subscriptions. ViewSonic is directly addressing this market demand by enabling users to select the carrier and plan that best fits their individual use case.

The ARM 800Mhz processor and Android 2.3 operating system ensure the phone brings powerful functionality to consumers. The ViewPhone 3 has an ESP of $279 and will be available in late Q1 2012.

Smartphone Comparison: Samsung Galaxy Nexus v. Motorola Droid Razr

The Samsung Galaxy Nexus and the Motorola Droid Razr are two smartphones that almost demand a comparison. Both phones were unveiled at the same time, are produced by two of the biggest players in the Android market, and both are two of the hottest new tech products around. In fact, it seems these days that the Galaxy Nexus and the Droid Razr have been getting more press than the iPhone 4S.

As the two new must-have items on the market there are likely going to be a good number of consumers trying to decide whether they should purchase a Galaxy Nexus or a Droid Razr. Fortunately, the phones have a couple distinct strengths and weaknesses. Let’s take a look:

The Galaxy Nexus runs on a 1.2 GHz processor with a 4.65 inch display, a pixilation of 1280×720, 1 GB of storage, 4G download speeds, and a choice between 16 and 32 GB of memory. It is 8.84 inches thick and, as its operating system and strongest selling point, it runs Android’s “Ice Cream Sandwich” operating system.

The Droid Razr also runs on a 1.2 GHz processor, carries 16 GB of memory, operates on a 4G network, and has 1 GB of storage. Unlike the Galaxy Nexus, however, it has a different display (with a 4.3 inch screen) and a superior camera (8 mega pixels versus 5 mega pixels), and it does not come with NFC support.

Regardless, on the specs fronts, the phones are pretty similar in everything but design and operating system. Here, then, is where the differences emerge. If you care a lot about screen size, the Galaxy Nexus boasts a huge display – visibly bigger than the Razr’s – which can act as a strong selling point. If you want to get your hands on the Ice Cream Sandwich operating sytem, the Galaxy Nexus is clearly the phone for you. But the Droid Razr offers a sleeker, slimmer, and more durable design – all at a lower price. Not to mention, if you purchase the Razr you can always upgrade it to Ice Cream Sandwich sometime next year.

For this reason, when taking everything into account, the Razr may be the smarter buy. Its inferior features can always be upgraded but its superior design is certainly more lasting.
