Buffalo 1TB Portable HDD

Buffalo released a substantial number of storage units over the past few months, each meant to address the needs of a particular market segment. There were compact, portable drives, ultra-fast USB 3.0 devices and even models with as much storage capacity as one could ever need. Coming to expand its collection of mobile storage units, Buffalo has now reportedly  come forth to introduce the newest member of the MiniStation series.

The drive will become the latest addition to the HD-PXT family. To some end-users’ dismay, it will not have support for the next-generation SuperSpeed USB 3.0 standard, which means that the 5Gbps transfer rates won’t be achievable. On the other hand, buyers will not have to worry about running out of space too soon, given that the actual capacity of the device is of no less than 1TB.
