Nokia 3110 Evolve Goes Bio Green

Nokia 3110
If there’s one phone manufacturer that takes its carbon footprint seriously, it’s Nokia. The cellphone giant is feeling its recent slip in Greenpeace’s “Guide to Greener Electronics” list. To add insult to the injury, rivals Sony Ericsson made it to number one. Perhaps, in the next list, Greenpeace will look more favorably to Nokia with the launching of the 3110.The Nokia 3110 uses “bio-covers,” which is made fro 50% renewable material. renewable means the parts were probably grown somewhere or it came out of something. Eww. But t does help the environment, so kudos to Nokia. The packaging is also 60% recyclable. The charger is also environmentally friendly using 94% less energy recommended by Energy Star. The phone comes with a rather unusual name Evolve for a phone meant to help save the environment.
