Nokia Wants to be Like Apple

The Apple deal with wireless companies distributing the iPhone on an exclusive basis has attracted the world’s largest mobile maker. Nokia, which distributes 40% of the cellphone market, says it will maintain its current business model regarding their mobile phones (being paid per unit, that is) but they will revise how they do business with their services.
Nokia wants a piece of the action whenever a customer uses a Nokia service through a wireless company. With GPS coming to every Nokia phone and the OVI laundry list of services, including the N-Gage gaming platform, Nokia might just have enough leverage to get what it wants – Apple-style revenues.
