Palm Centro Tops Visual Appeal Index
A report from Strategy Analytics Wireless Device Lab suggests that the Samsung i760, one of this guy’s top ten ugliest smartphones, is one of the most appealing innovative design in the cellphone industry. The report titled “Design Labs USA: Palm Centro & Samsung i760 Most Appealing Innovative Designs” puts the Palm Centro on top of the list based on consumer reaction. Among the top five are two Windows Mobile phones, the Samsung i760 and the Pantech C810.It was the new Palm Centro, however, which got the most oohs and ahhs. The phones tested are all pre-launched or newly launched handsets. The market was divided into groups: “Style Seeker”, “High Data”, “Multifunction”, “Voice + Music”, “Voice + PIM”, etc. The LG Rumor scored well on “Multifuntion” and “Voice + PIM” and got positive scores as well wth “Style Seekers and :High data” markets. Meanwhile, the Nokia Prism, the fifth device, is voted most “feminine.”
